Hello, and welcome to the August edition of the Coastal Real Estate newsletter. Our followers on Facebook or Twitter may already know that we have opened a new office in Welcome Town, just off of Pattaya Klang near Foodland and the Harbor Mall.

We still have our main office on Soi Diana but needed another location to accommodate our increased staff. The Welcome Town office is easy to get to and has plenty of parking.  Our accounting and admin staff is now located there as are some of the sales staff. If you find yourself in Welcome Town please stop in and say hello.

Our next property this month was picked by one of our newest team members, Dennis Martino, who has recently joined us from the Los Angeles area.

This is a four bedroom, five bathroom home that is a must see.

Introducing Dennis Martino

As mentioned earlier in the newsletter, Dennis Martino has recently joined the Coastal Real Estate team.

Dennis started his career in real estate in Los Angeles in 1989 and soon developed a reputation as the “Rock & Roll Realtor” often showing houses in Doc Martins and tight black pants, not the typical attire for a real estate agent at the time.

He soon developed a core group of clients consisting of movie producers, directors and other behind the scenes types of people in the film industry.

It was during this time that Dennis developed his approach to working with clients; providing a high-level of service and listening to their needs. According to Dennis “you work for them, you learn all you can about the property you are selling and then give them the best advice possible based on that knowledge.”

Dennis plans to use the same approach here in Pattaya. He takes some time every week to go out and look at properties, often going along with other agents in the office on viewings just so he can learn as much as possible about the Pattaya market.

Although the nuances of the real estate market here are different than in the US Dennis feels that the same approach of being knowledgeable, honest and service oriented will help him succeed here as he did in the U.S.

Final Thoughts

We have talked about infrastructure improvements in Pattaya in past newsletters. We know they can cause a lot of frustration while in progress but in the end, they help make our city a better place to live.

Dongtan Beach is currently undergoing a renovation and while there is a lot of grumbling from some of the vendors and locals it will look much better when completed.

Our advice is to be patient and adopt the “mai pen rai” attitude of the Thais. In other words, “don’t worry it’s okay.”
